2.  A Premier Athletic Program

Marquette takes great pride in our winning athletic tradition.  Niche.com ranks Marquette #2 of 20 high schools in Madison County, IL and our athletic program is often recognized by the St. Louis Post Dispatch as one of the top small school programs in the St. Louis region. Our student-athletes often play against the best competition in the area and still advance deep into the IHSA playoffs, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We have won State Championships in numerous sports, have 16 State Finals appearances, and have Regional and Sectional Championships too numerous to count. Every year many of our graduating student-athletes receive athletic scholarships to universities throughout the country.

3.  We Will Find A Way

Marquette takes pride in finding a way to make sure any student who wants to attend Marquette, can.  Through merit and need-based endowed scholarships, and through the generosity of Annual Appeal donors, hundreds of thousands of dollars are provided annually to nearly 54% of the student body.

4.  Values for Life

Our students have the opportunity to develop spiritually. Whether through Theology courses, school masses, or just stopping in our Chapel for a quick prayer; Marquette offers students four years of opportunity to further their relationship with God while learning values they will carry throughout their lifetime.

5.  A Regional School

regional school
With students from 61 different schools throughout the Metro East and St. Louis region, from both Illinois and Missouri, Marquette offers you a great opportunity to retain current friends and meet new ones - all on a campus where everyone knows your name.

6.  Money for College

A Marquette education more than pays for itself.  On average, our graduating seniors earn $98,900 per student in college scholarships.

7.  Discover Your Artistic Side

Whether you are drawn to the visual arts or performing arts (or both), Marquette has something for everyone. Design that special artistic piece for the annual Art Exhibit held at the Jacoby Art Center; or take the lead in one of the School’s musical performances; learn the techniques of the behind the scene importance of sound, lighting, make-up or scenery; or sing in the MCHS Chorus. Many Marquette students have gone on to pursue their passion for the arts at some of the finest art schools in the country. At Marquette - there is something for everyone; there is something especially for you.
