Alton-Godfrey Rotary Names December Student of the Month: Marquette Senior Sharon Dugas
The Alton-Godfrey Rotary Club has named Marquette Catholic High School senior Sharon Dugas as its December Student of the Month, recognizing her exceptional academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to service.
Sharon is the daughter of Patrick and Laura Dugas. An accomplished student, she holds an impressive 4.53 GPA, has earned 34 college dual-credit hours, and has remained a consistent presence on the High Honor Roll. She has completed numerous AP and Honors courses and has been recognized as an AP Scholar.
Beyond the classroom, Sharon has been a four-year member of the Marquette girls volleyball team, where she recently earned the Sportsmanship Award. Her leadership extends throughout the school community: she serves as President of the Interact Club, Vice President of Student Council, Service Coordinator for the National Honor Society, and is also an active member of the Breast Cancer Awareness Club. Demonstrating her commitment to helping others, Sharon has completed over 100 service hours.
Looking ahead, Sharon plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering and is considering Missouri University of Science and Technology, Purdue University, or the University of Alabama.
The Alton-Godfrey Rotary congratulates Sharon on her achievements and is proud to recognize her as December’s Student of the Month.
