Congratulations Christian & Marissa!
Marquette Catholic is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023 Ninian Edwards Chapter, NSDAR Awards. This year, senior Christian Maag, received the DAR Good Citizen Award. This award is presented to a senior who displays the qualities of leadership, service, dependability, and patriotism. Christian’s essay which was written as part of the application was chosen to go on to district competition. For this, Christian received a $100 Amazon gift card and is eligible to participate in the scholarship portion of the program.
The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest was created in 1934 to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. Students are selected by their teachers and peers.
Junior, Marissa Statos, received the DAR Youth Citizenship Award. This award recognizes the recipient for the the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism.
