National Signing Day

National Signing Day - November 10, 2021

The Athletic Office proudly announces that the following student-athletes have signed their Letter of Intent indicating their commitment to participate in the athletic programs at their respective college or university.



Jillian Nelson
Concordia University, St. Paul

Womens Soccer | Division II

"I chose Concordia because it had everything I wanted in a college. I wanted to play in a Division II soccer program. It's located in a huge city and all the girls and staff have a great time while being very competitive." 
Jillian participated in National Honor Society, Breast Cancer Awareness Club, Student Council, Students for Soldiers, CFAC, and played four years on the girls basketball team.
AWARDS: Prairie State All Conference Team Freshman year, Super-sectionals (soccer 2021), inducted into National Honor Society
"Marquette prepared me both academically and athletically with the rigorous class load and competitive sports environment."

Gracie Piar
Cal State, Northridge

Womens Golf | Division I

"Cal State has a great coach, great weather, and an amazing campus! I plan on majoring in Business."
Gracie participated in girls basketball her freshman year.
AWARDS: 4 time Player of the Year, Won State, Sectionals and Regionals, Broke all MCHS school records for golf, Shot 35 under par for season (2021), Broke the IHSA Girls Golf State Record for 1 day score (1A), 3 years IHSA All-Team Academic 
"Don't wish for it, work for it!"

Sean Mitchell
Parkland College


Sean chose Parkland for its coaches, location, and skill level. They offered him an athletic scholarship to offset college expenses. He plans on studying Business/Sports Management.
Sean participated in the CEO program, National Honor Society, Breast Cancer Awareness Club, and Basketball for one year.
"I truly came in and left as a family. I enjoyed my 4 years of Varsity baseball and making true friends."

Audrey Cain
McKendree University

Womens Golf | Division II

"McKendree is a great campus and has great academics to choose from. The golf program is awesome!"
Audrey participated in National Honor Society, Student Council, Breast Cancer Awareness Club and SOS. 
AWADS: First Team All-Area- girls golf, inducted into NHS, 3 years IHSA All-Team Academic 
"Marquette Catholic has academically prepared me for college by providing great honors and dual credit classes."

Allison Woodbright
Greenville University

Volleyball | Division III

"I loved the family atmosphere and the campus of Greenville University. I look forward to working with the volleyball staff and team."

AWARDS: Granite City tournament All-Team, Chris Erwin Scholar Athlete of the Month (September 2021), inducted into National Honor Society

Alyssa Powell
McKendree University

Basketball | Division II

" I chose McKendree because it is a total university with a majority of the population being student athletes. The coaches and girls on the team are absolutely amazing and made me feel right at home."
Audrey participated in National Honor Society and Breast Cancer Awareness Club. She plans on majoring in Biology and minoring in forensic science.
AWARDS: All-Conference for 3 years, All-Area 1 year
"Because I was a transfer student, I thought the transition would be difficult. However, everyone at Marquette was very welcoming and I have made so many friends along the way."

Carli Foesterling
Southwestern Illinois College


"I chose Southwestern because it is the perfect choice for me to continue my education and the sport I love."
Carli also played basketball for the Explorers and played softball on the Bluff City Elite Travel Team.

"Marquette has academically and physically prepared me for college."
