Tri-M Music Honor Society

The Tri-M Music Honor Society® is a program of National Association of Music Education (NAfME) which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M® is the only national honor society for student musicians in grades 6-12. There are more than 1,775 chapters across all 50 states, involving more than 75,000 students.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society:

  • Advocates for the importance and value of music education in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
  • Highlights the school’s music program and establishes credibility within the surrounding community.
  • Positively impacts the community through public performances and service projects.
  • Motivates students to take on leadership roles and make a difference in their community.

Dr. Woodiel is the chapter director and is the official representative of the school’s Tri-M Musical Honor Society to our organization. The chapter director is responsible for overseeing all chapter activities and operations, subject to the authority of the school’s administration and National Association of Music Education’s code of regulations and policies. The success of a Tri-M Music Honor Society Chapter rests largely on the leadership, skill, and enthusiasm of its troupe director.
