Marquette Explorers Club hosts three types of events during the school year: Booster, Social, and Fundraisers.

Booster Events

Football Concessions at home games -  Freshman parents will work in teams to help prepare food, take orders and collect money.  This allows parents of students participating in the varsity sports at the games to watch their children.  It is a great way to meet other Freshmen parents at the beginning of the school year.  We also run the 50/50 drawing at the football games.  If you are interested in helping with concessions, please sign up at the New Family Picnic.

2016 Home Football Games are:  Saturday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. (Craig Hentrich Recognition); Friday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. (Homecoming); Saturday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. (Senior Night)

Sports Calendar (Fall, Winter , and Spring) — It is published three times a year, Fall, Winter, and Spring.  The calendar lists all game dates and times for all sports for that season.  We have a pocket calendar with all game dates and it is distributed to the students and to businesses.

 

Social Events

Social events are designed to bring together the family and friends of MCHS students for an evening or day of fun.

Trivia Night (February 11, 2017) - Marquette Catholic High School Trivia Night will be held in the school gymnasium. 

5K Run (May 6, 2017) - The Club offers a “fun run/walk”.  It is a 5k and will start and end at Marquette going through middle town.

 

Fundraisers

Fundraisers are an integral part of our club.  Through the money we earn and donate to MCHS, we are able to enhance both the academic and extracurricular activities that are offered at the school.

Cash Calendar (October through January) - The cost of the calendar is $25 and a name is drawn for each day of the year with cash prizes of $25 for Mondays through Saturdays, $100 for Sundays, $100 for New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Day.  A cash prize of $250 will be given for Easter and $1000 for Christmas.  We ask all MCHS students to sell this calendar, which features photos of student activities throughout the year.

This year each student is responsible for the sale of two CA$H Calendars.  The CA$H Calendar will be distributed to students at school during the Cash Calendar Assembly..  Each student will receive two calendars on that day that they are required to sell, but we encourage them to ask for 8 additional CA$H Calendars at that time.  When your student sells 10 calendars and turns in the CA$H Calendar stubs and money by the 8th of the month, they will get to participate in a designated dress down day every month thereafter through the month of May.  In addition, there are CA$H prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place sales.  The class that sells the most CA$H Calendars will win a pizza party during lunch hour and be able to show their class spirit by wearing their “Blue Crew” or any other MCHS t-shirt to school that day with their uniform pants/shorts/skirts.

*Students need to sell both CA$H Calendars by December 5th to avoid a $50 fine.  The fine must be paid before students are allowed to take 1st semester finals.*

Dinner Auction (March 25, 2017) -
 We have both an oral and a silent auction.  The dinner and oral auction will be held at the Lewis & Clark Community College Commons facility.  This is a very nice evening and we welcome everyone even those who do not wish to bid on items.  The cost to attend the Auction is $50.00 per person and covers dinner and the dance.
