The spirit of the Ursuline motto of Serviam (I will Serve), is the guiding principle for the Marquette community. In addition to the hours given by the parent’s group – the Explorers Club, the School Board of Directors, special event committees and countless other volunteers, Marquette has been the beneficiary of strong financial support each year. The students who benefit from these generous gifts are also committed to the motto. Through their annual service hour requirement they are taught the importance of giving to the community.
For the first seventy years at Marquette the Ursulines guided the school through their example of selfless service. Their presence alone helped offset the costs of operating the school. Today our tuition covers about 80% of the costs of running the school each year. These expenses including faculty salaries, utilities, and other costs associated with a well rounded student curriculum are covered by the generous financial donations of our alumni and friends.
