WHAT IS CAMPUS MINISTRY?
Campus Ministry is an extra-curricular organization of Marquette Catholic High School. The group's purpose is to serve the spiritual needs of each student as well as every teacher and staff member through prayer, worship, and expressing the Catholic faith throughout our school.
The Campus Ministry Office is a place where students can feel free to bring their problems and concerns to the Campus Minister and to each other.

WHO JOINS CAMPUS MINISTRY?

Members of Campus Ministry are students who share in the Campus Minister's role of ministering to the student body as well as to the surrounding community.  This work includes the areas of liturgy, retreat work, peer support, community service, and recreation. Campus Ministry is open to high school students of any grade. Students of other Christian denominations are also welcome to join. Interested students complete an application at the beginning of each school year. All applications are reviewed by the Campus Minister before membership becomes official.

A smaller group of Campus Ministers, known as the Executive Board, meets once a month to make long-range plans for the liturgical year. At least two representatives from each grade meet with Mrs. Mattix-Wand to design plans for the upcoming months.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTAINING MEMBERSHIP:
•Members of Campus Ministry need to maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

•Those members whose GPA falls below 2.5, while still members, will not be given a pass out of homeroom to work on Campus Ministry projects and will not be dismissed early to set up for Mass.

•Members who are failing two or more subjects are not eligible to participate in Campus Ministry events.

•In regards to the disciplinary policies of MCHS, for example the drug/alcohol/tobacco policy as indicated in the Student Handbook, Campus Ministry is to be understood as a school activity such as a sports team and other extra-curricular activities. Therefore, violations of any part of the Student Handbook could have an effect on one's status as a member of Campus Ministry.

•Members are responsible for attending all regularly scheduled and special Campus Ministry meetings. Students who do not attend at least 80% of the weekly meetings will not receive the annual membership award.

RESPONSIBLILITIES OF CAMPUS MINISTRY...
•Leading morning prayer over the PA
•Plan all Masses, prayer services, and fill the ministries needed
•Maintain the Campus Ministry Office and the Chapel
•Designing and preparing the seasonal environment which enhances our faith
•Last, but definitely not least, is pray for the Marquette family!
