Godfrey native and Marquette Catholic High School graduate Craig Hentrich will be inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. The organization is holding its first all-Illinois induction ceremony next Thursday. Hentrich made a career as a punter in the NFL, winning a Superbowl with the Green Bay Packers and returning to the big game a few years later with the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans lost to the St. Louis Rams in that game. Hentrich retired from the NFL following the 2009 season. He tells The Big Z he feels honored to be inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame.
Hentrich played in 241 NFL games over the course of 16 seasons, falling just short of 50,000 career punting yards. Next Thursday's event will be held at Gateway Classic Cars in O'Fallon, Illinois at 7pm. Tickets are $90 each. For more information, click here: https://www.stlshof.com/
